EVENT: ALUMNI-STUDENT MEET & GREET: The Alumni Association, SGA, Honors Students of Compassion and the Career Success Center have partnered to bring a major networking event to the Westside Campus Alumni & Student Meet & Greet Center Ballroom from 6 to 8 p.m. All students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited. Make connections, learn networking techniques/protocol, how to mingle confidently and gain personal insights on how past students found meaningful employment. Free food and raffle prizes. SCHOLARS IN ACTION: ACTS OF VIOLENCE, ACTS OF GRACE: Scholars in Action, a panel discussion featuring recent scholarship by faculty, will be at 5:30 p.m. in Room 127 of White Hall (Midtown). The topic, “Acts of Violence, Acts of Grace,” will feature presentations by Associate Professor of Communication Dr. Jay Brower; Professor of Writing, Linguistics and Creative Process Dr. Brian Clements; Assistant Professor of Social Work Dr. Deneen Harris; Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Greg Haynes; Professor of Justice and Law Administration Dr. George Kain; and Assistant Professor of Social Work Dr. Karen McLean.
